Sun Mar 26th - Victorian Day in the Park

Mar 26 2017 12:00 pm

Come on over to Los Encinos State Historic park for the annual Victorian day in the park. Put on your Victorian finery, pack your picnic and join in the civilized fun.

Participants are encouraged to wear 1870s-80s costume and bring Victorian style picnic food and equipment.

It will feature live music, a visit from the Kickapoo Indian Sagawa medicine show.

Folks who have historically correct living history set ups, acts, presentations, characters, entertainments or activities are invited to do their thing. Please check with us first though, and please note that tentage is problematic at this site.

Furthermore, organizations that promote historical education and activities (especially 19th Century history) and historical preservation are invited to set up informational tables. Please check with the Docents before hand though.

The event is free and children are welcome. Donations to support Los Encinos State Historic Park are requested.

Period lawn games are encouraged as long as they don't involve projectiles that might break a window (no baseball, sorry).

Dogs on leashes are allowed. Beer and wine OK. No firearms (real or replica) please.

Event is hosted by the Los Encinos Docents Association
